When I posted a picture of the pygmy puff amigurumi I crocheted for my sister on Instagram a few months ago, quite a few people were interested in the pattern… So here it is! You can make your very own pygmy puff in less than an hour with this quick and easy pattern. Plus, it’s the perfect use for that lonely skein of brightly-colored fluffy yarn that we have all been gifted at some point!
- 30 yards of faux fur or eyelash yarn (example is shown in Yarn Bee Haute Fur)
- 15 yards of worsted weight yarn in a matching color (Example is shown in Red Heart With Love)
- US E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Safety eyes
- Black yarn or embroidery floss
About 4.5” tall

Sl st in the next st and fasten off.
Add the safety eyes and embroider the nose using black yarn as shown in the photo below.
Attach the fur yarn at the bottom of face with the WS facing you. You will be working around the face with the inside facing you, which makes the outside fluffier.

Rounds 2-8: rep round 1
Round 9: *sc 4, dec*, rep from * to * around (30 sts)
Round 10: *sc 3, dec*, rep from * to * around (24 sts)
Round 11: *sc 2, dec*, rep from * to * around (18 sts)
Fill with stuffing.
Round 12: *sc, dec*, rep from * to * around (12 sts)
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail to close the hole. Weave in all ends.
