I designed this pattern a couple months ago for the Yarnpunk blog, and now I can share it with you here! The Nerd Life Tote Bag is perfect for carrying around laptops, books, and everything else you need! It’s worked flat in two pieces, seamed, and then finished in the round, and it features a stranded tapestry crochet design. Plus, reusable bags are better for the environment… You can look cool and reduce your plastic use at the same time; it’s a win-win!

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably still looking for a few more small gifts for the people on your list. This mini stocking is the perfect way to check off the rest of your gifts for the year! It’s just the right size to hold a gift card, some candy, or another small item, and it’s adorably small so your giftee will love it! The best part is, it takes less than a half hour to make. You could easily make a bunch of these in an afternoon… They would also be perfect as a family set!

I’m happy to announce that my first patterns have finally been released today! Four of my original designs – the Droplet Slouch Hat, the Rhombus Plaid Slouchy Hat, the Rhombus Plaid Cowl, and the Rhombus Plaid Wristers – are now available for purchase through Craftsy, Ravelry, and LoveKnitting. The Droplet Slouch Hat is a simple but pretty colorwork knitting pattern, and the Rhombus Plaid patterns are a matching set of crochet accessories. They are all suitable for advanced beginners and above, so don’t be intimidated by the colorwork 🙂
